Automations allow you to respond quickly to social media interactions, reducing repetitive tasks and streamlining engagement with your followers.
What are Automations?
Automations are workflows you can configure within mLabs Chat to execute actions automatically whenever a specific event occurs.
Examples of events:
Someone sends you a message.
Someone comments on your post.
Someone sends a specific keyword via DM.
Based on these events, you can:
Respond to messages automatically.
React to post comments.
Initiate conversation flows.
Collect user information.
Route the service to your team.
Creating Automations
In the main menu, click Automation:
Then, click New Automation:
On this screen, you will find eight ready-to-use templates to simplify the creation process—you just need to fill in the required fields. Choose the one that best suits your needs and customize it as you wish.
The options include:
Send links via DM when replying to comments (Quick Automation).
Capture leads from Stories.
Automatically qualify prospects.
Send your catalog automatically via Direct Message.
Capture lead information.
Exclusive content for followers.
Send business hours.
Automatically send links on TikTok.
If none of the templates fit your needs, you can create your own automation by clicking Start from scratch:
When creating from scratch, you will need to configure the entire automation flow.
Define a Title for your flow and click New Trigger:
Select which Trigger to use (each option includes a description of how it works):
Configure your event conditions and click Save:
Next, choose the next step for your flow. This stage offers endless possibilities to structure your entire operation. In this block, you decide the actions following the customized trigger:
Send Message: Automatically sends a message to the user who entered the automation.
Send Media: Automatically sends a file or image to the user.
Perform Actions: Allows the automation to execute internal system actions without messaging the user, such as: adding or removing tags, removing the contact from the current automation, pausing the automation, assigning the conversation to a team member, or marking it as resolved.
Add Condition: This option creates automatic decision points within the flow. If the condition is met (True), the automation follows one path; if not (False), it follows another.
Add Randomizer: Sends different versions of a message to different users. This is perfect for A/B testing and varying campaign approaches.
Data Collection: Prompts the user for information (name, email, phone, and WhatsApp) and automatically saves it to their contact profile.
Once you have finished building your flow, you can choose to Save, Publish, Duplicate, or Delete:
That’s it! You have learned how Automations work in mLabs Chat. 😉
