How to Manage My Contacts in mLabs Chat

Organize and track all your social media contacts in one place.

Written by Thalita Gomes

The Contacts menu allows you to view the complete list of users who have sent messages, commented, or mentioned your connected channels. This list is automatically generated based on social media interactions.

Each contact aggregates important information, such as conversation history and available data, facilitating follow-ups and service continuity.

How to View a Contact

In the main menu, click Contacts:

On the following screen, you will see your full contact list, featuring profile pictures, social network icons, the last interaction timestamp, and usernames.
Click View Conversations to be directed to the chat in the Inbox, or View Details to manage the contact:

Within the contact details, you can:

  • Pause the automations the contact is currently part of.

  • View their Instagram profile.

  • Insert tags.

  • Add notes.

  • Add details such as name, email, and phone number.

Creating a New Contact

On the home screen, click New Contact. You can choose between two methods:

Manual Registration: Enter the full name, email, phone, and WhatsApp, then click Save.

CSV Import: Click Import CSV > Select File > Import Now.

Exporting Contacts

By clicking the Bulk Actions option, you can Delete or Export your contacts:

If you choose to export, you will receive your contact list via email to use as needed.

Important Tips

Your Contact database is fundamental for effectively managing your brand’s interactions. Keep it organized by using filters, tags, and conversation history.

With this information, you can understand a contact's profile, tailor your responses, and use contacts strategically in campaigns and automations.

That’s it! You are now familiar with the Contacts menu in mLabs Chat. 😉
